Inspired by urbanist Wu Liangyong’s concept, these communities prioritize holistic amenities (e.g., healthcare, education, elderly care) and participatory governance. The Macau New Neighbourhood project exemplifies this vision, incorporating Macau’s cultural elements and testing social integration models, such as allowing Macau residents to join local committees.
