The Centre for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Studies (GBAS) of the Faculty of Social Sciences of University of Macau is the first academic institution and think tank in Macao that dedicated to research on the Greater Bay Area (GBA).Guided by the university’s mission, “rooted in Macao, integrated into the Greater Bay Area, and geared towards the whole country and the world”, and following the principle of “meeting national needs and leveraging Macau’s strengths,” GBAS aims to support Macau’s development into “one center, one platform, and one base,” promote moderate economic diversification, and facilitate the integration of Macau and the GBA, with a particular focus on fostering smart governance cooperation in the region.
